Troop 22 Pictures
Troop 22 has traveled far and wide and below are someof
the pictures to show where we have been
Hinckley - March 2011.
We built a trebuchet in the morning and spent time at a rock gym
in the afternoon.
Hill 'n Dale Sports Club
- November 2011. We had an opportunity to participate in some
shooting sports at the club in Medina.
Hell Hollow - Mystery Camp,
Sept 2011. Went to Hell Hollow in Lake County. We worked on
some team building initiative games, had a mystery lunch with different
root veggies and 3 different types of meat, went for a walk to the
creek, then had a competition of bocci ball, horseshoes, and corn
hole.
Warren Dunes - August 2011
Tracy Ridge, Allegheny National
Forest, PA - in April 2011 the troop ventured to hike on the
Tracy Ridge trail. The group decided to make it into a day hike
since there was tremendous blowing and drizzle. In the late afternoon
after returning from the hike we decided to return home.
Stewart Property -
In March 2011 the troop made maple syrup and played with sharp throwing
things.
Pioneer Scout Reservation
- In June 2009 Troop 22 spent summer camp at Camp Frontier in northwestern
Ohio. This was one of the better staffed summer camps we have attended
with great program opportunities.
Pymatuning Lake - In
May 2009 we camped at Pymatuning Lake. In the morning we tried to
rent canoes and a pontoon. It was too windy to rent canoes so we
rented 2 pontoons and used our own canoes in shifts. We were on
the lake for a few hours, came off, it started to rain, we took
lunch to a shelter, then visited the Carp at the spillway (click
here for movies). Visited the fish hatchery then went back to
camp.
Caving Trip - In April
2009 we camped at the Hockey camp near Farmington, PA. We helped
a little with the building of a large picnic table then drove to
Bowden Cave in West Virginia (about 9 miles east of Elkins). We
spent a few hours in the cave going to the site of the 2002 cave
in, some went up the watercourse, then we went back out.
Binnig Farm - In March
2009 we camped on the Binnig Farm in Thompson, OH. We did some service

to make a weekend of it.
Presque Isle - January
2009. This was the first trip by the Troop to Presque Isle. we camped

field trips, had a multitude of visitors, had a flag retirement
ceremony, many campfires (both indoors and out - it was a pretty
wet week), tie dyed our own shirts with a Scout made silk screen
pattern, and much more. Check out 32 pictures that give a little
