Present yourself to your leader properly dressed before going on an
overnight camping trip. Show the camping gear you will use. Show the
right way to pack and carry it.
Spend at least 2 nights on a patrol or troop campout. Sleep in a tent
that you have helped pitch on a ground bed that you have prepared.
Citizenship
Demonstrate how to display, raise, lower, and fold the flag of the
United States.
Show the proper ways to respect the flag while part of a ceremony.
Explain the symbolism of all flag parts.
Know your patrol name, give the patrol yell, and describe your patrol
flag.
First Aid/Safety
Explain the buddy system and tell why we often use it in Scouting.
Demonstrate the Heimlich maneuver and tell when it is used.
Show first aid for the following: Bites and stings of insects and
ticks, Blisters on the hand and foot,Nosebleed, Simple cuts and scratches,
Poisonous snakebites, Minor burns and scalds (1st degree)
Describe shock, its symptoms and how to treat it.

Hiking

Demonstrate how to whip and fuse the ends of rope.
Demonstrate tying two half hitches and a tautline hitch by using these
knots to pitch a tent or demonstrate other appropriate uses for these
knots.
Scoutmaster Conference
Participate in a Scoutmaster Conference where, as part of the discussion,
you should repeat from memory and explain in your own words the meaning
of the Scout Oath, Law, Motto, and Slogan.
