LOCATED: Irish Ridge and Dew Roads, Corning, Ohio 43730 Near Nelsonville,
Ohio
MEET: St. Paul auxiliary Parking Lot Friday April 8, 2005 6:25PM
DROP OFF: At Home Sunday April 10, 2005 2:00 PM
COST: $12.00 per scout
03/14//2005 Monday - Give Permission slips to your parents if
you have not already / start saving gallon water bottles and bring
them to Troop meeting.
03/28/2005 Monday, Permission Slips and Fees Due. Turn into to
Patrol Leader. Check out backpacks from Troop room.
04/01/2005 Friday – Sunday - Bring hiking boots, backpacks
and contents to patrol meeting for backing. Patrol leaders will
inspect.
04/04/2005 Monday - Backpack shakedown – Bring packed backpack
and hiking boots to Troop meeting. Absolute last day for permission
slips and money.
04/08/2005 Friday, Leave from Church Parking Lot at 6:25 1PM
Notes:
1. Older scouts will do a 15-mile hike. Some on Saturday and some
on Sunday.
2. Younger scouts will do a 3 to 5 mile hike
3. The Wayne National Forest does not have any drinking water
or restroom facilities. We will need to bring in our own water.
Patrol and scouts should saving clean one-gallon water bottles
to use during the camp out.
4. Camping is permitted anywhere along the trail.
5. April weather can be cool. Check the weather forecast and pack
and dress accordingly
6. The trial is has mild elevation gains. The shorter trial should
be with the abilities of younger scouts. By comparison wit will
be much easier than last May’s backpacker at Tar Hollow.
